Generalleutnant. Im J. 1882 begleitete er
Wolseley als Generalstabschef auf dem ägyptischen
Feldzug und ward darauf zum
Gouverneur von
Gibraltar

Cawnpore by the troops under the order
of major-general C. Adye
Windham in Nov. 1857« (Lond. 1858);
»A review of the Crimean war in the winter of 1854-55« (das. 1860) und »Sitana, a mountain campaign on the borders of Afghanistan in 1863« (das. 1867).
