(spr. bjuhtschir), schott. Grafschaft, aus den Inseln Bute, Arran, Groß Cumbrae (sämtlich im Clydebusen) bestehend, hat ein Areal von 568 qkm (10,3 QM.) mit (1881) 17,657 Einw. Nur 11 Proz. sind Ackerland, 7 Proz. Weideland, 2,5 Proz. Wald;
